modeling
Progress Entry 07/09/2010

Had a chance to do a tiny bit more modeling: the fireplace and a few odds and ends. I also started to set up the lighting. It's pretty slow to render for the time being, about 30-40 minutes on my quad-core pc, but it uses physical sky and sun, 9 portal lights with big area shadows, photon global illumination(3mil), final gathering, and 3+ million triangles.

I got a chance to do a little more work on this scene today. I've started to add some place holder models so that I can get a feel for how everything will fit together. The dining room set, the couches and chairs, dishes, etc. will get refined later once I've decided I like their general shape and position. I'm going to start in on the lighting tonight if I get the chance.
Real-Time Vehicles for DSCI

A few examples of the 70 or so models I did for DSCI. These are just a few of them, I'll update with more in the next few days. All have triangle counts of around 5000 and in some cases that includes, a driver and simple interior. All UVs were unwrapped by me and all textures were hand painted in Photoshop by me.

These are a couple still frames from a medical animation I did for Planned Parenthood as one of my senior projects. I will post breakdowns of the composites and the animation at a later date.

First Human Model

My first try at human subdivision modeling. Done back in 2005 I think. I've improved quite a bit since then and looking back I see that I made a lot of mistakes. Not bad for a first try though!
